The combination of electronic fuel injection (EFI) and three-way catalyst is the best effective route for solving the emission problem of automobile with gasoline engine, which becomes the standard deployment of modern automobiles. But when the EFI goes fault or does not run normally, the emission is to get heavy and pollute atmosphere again. The analysis of the influence of the sensors-MAF, TPS, O<sub>2</sub>S, MAT and ECT on the emission has been made experimental imitations of fault state for electronic fuel injection system. The experimental investigations confirm that great attention should be paid on the pollution from the wrong running of EFI and some corresponding countermoves should be taken.
