湖南传统节庆体育属于湖湘民俗文化的内容,是湖湘本土文化,是湖湘文化的源头文化,对湖湘文化的起源、发展形成和传承有不可替代的作用。湖南传统节庆体育不仅是湖湘文化的元素和符号,也是湖湘文化的载体,在它的身上折射出湖湘文化的内容和精神。从湖湘文化的角度来解读湖南传统节庆体育,目的在于探求湖南传统节庆体育的文化价值,为研究湖南节庆体育提供新的视角和思路。
