The leaves of regenerated Chieh-qua (Benincasa hispida Cogn. var. chieh-qua How.) plants from the fusaric acid (FA) resistance and other varieties with different resistance to fusarium wilt were examined to analyze the activity of peroxidase (POD), polyphenoloxidase (PPO), and the content of soluble protein when infected with Fusarium oxysporum. The activity of POD and PPO was greater in F. oxysporum treated plants compared to control.
