The carbon quantum dots with yellow fluorescence were prepared by pulsed potential method using ethanol as the carbon source and o-phenylenediamine as dopant, and their properties were characterized. TEM showed that the size of the prepared nanoparticles was within 5 nm. UV-Vis spectroscopy showed that there were two absorption peaks for carbon quantum dots.
