RAPD molecular-marker technique was used to detect the genetic diversity among 48 tobacco germplasms. The genomic DNA of 48 tobacco germplasms was tested with RAPD using 28 arbitrary 10-mer primers which were screened from 200 arbitrary 10-mer primers. The results showed that the 184 RAPD bands were obtained altogether with 86 bands of polymorphic ones. The percentage of polymorphic bands was 46.7%.
