棉花是重要的经济作物,也是理想的研究纤维发育的模式作物。随着基因工程和现代分子生物学的发展,转基因技术在棉花生产中得到广泛应用。组织培养技术是转基因技术的基础,但棉花组织培养受棉花基因型的限制,严重制约了棉花转基因技术的发展。本文回顾了棉花组织培养与植株再生的发展历程,探讨了影响棉花组织培养与植株再生的一些主要因素,并展望了棉花组织培养的未来发展方向。
