Blettila striata (Thunb.) Reichb.f. is an important ornamental and herbaceous medicinal plant. However, natural resources are endangered and breeding and improvement of the medicinal plant using modern biotechnology are urgently needed. Increasing the harvest biomass is critical to the total yield of bioactive substances.
