舞龙运动是集中国的历史、文化和体育于一体的运动，是中华民族的艺术瑰宝，是几千年来华夏儿女的智慧结晶。开展舞龙运动在高校不仅仅可以弘扬中华民族优秀的传统文化，丰富校园文化生活，提高学生的身体素质，为国家培养出“多能一专”的体育人才发挥重要的作用。该文以湖南省高校舞龙选修课的学习动机为研究对象，通过对舞龙选修课学习动机的分析，探悉舞龙运动学习动机对促进高校舞龙运动发展的关系问题，旨在为舞龙运动在湖南省高校健康、科学的发展提供理论依据。
