The Impacts of Contextual Factors on English Vocabulary Learning

通过对中国人在英语学习,尤其是词汇学习中出现的种种问题,特别是词汇学习中普遍存在的各种问题加以实例进行分析,从词义、文化、能力三个层面揭示了语境在词汇学习中的重要作用,并结合词汇、篇章及文化三个角度提出了利用语境进行词汇学习的几种方法。

English is the most widely used official language in the world and China has a large population of English learners.Varieties of problems in learning English,especially in learning English vocabulary,force us to find out a more scientific way of learning English vocabulary based on the consideration of communicative characteristic of language.This study focuses on the universal phenomena and problems in vocabulary learning,using investigation research and example analysis.It reveals the impacts of contextual factors on English vocabulary learning in three layers-meaning,culture and capacity.Co...
