In present paper, discriminant analysis, which is one method of pattern recogination techenique by computer, was applied to evaluate the quality of roasted green teas with ten physical and chemical characters. These characters were selected repeatedly from many characters of four sets of roasted green tea standard samples promulgated by the Ministry of Commerce of China.
