通过介绍槟榔的生物学特性和生理活性作用、阐述湘潭槟榔产业的发展现状,分析了湘潭槟榔产业发展存在的问题,为湘潭市槟榔产业的发展提出了加强基础研究、增强技术创新力量、建立完善的槟榔产品标准、加大宣传力度、加强原材料基地管理、开展深加工研究、建立和完善市场信息、打造龙头企业品牌等8点建议。

The article introduced the biological characteristics and physiological activity of areca, expounded the current development situation of Xiangtan areca industry, analysed the problems existing in the development of areca industry in Xiangtan.
