在汉英两种语言关于牛的词语和表达中,我们可看到"牛"作为动物性的本体形象相同,作为动物性的喻体形象也相似,并且同样成为神话故事的重要角色.同时,汉语和英语表达出牛不同的褒贬、地位和意义.通过异同对比,我们可以使用直译、意译和综合翻译的方法来理解有关牛的具体表达.

In the Chinese and English languages about the word and expression of ＂oxen＂,we can see that the ＂oxen＂,as the animal＇s body image,it is the same as a metaphor of the animal’s body image.It becomes the same important role in fairy tales in the two languages.At the same time,Chinese and English express the different appraise,status and significance of cow.By means of analyzing the similarities and dissimilarities,we can use the literal translation,free translation and comprehensive translation approache...
