Abstract: Based on the official data of Energy Information Administration, firstly, we analyze the energy consumption of four industries from 1960 to 2009 in California, Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico from the perspective of static and dynamic, respectively. The result shows that energy consumption structure trends of the four states are basically similar. Secondly, based on the features of the states, an intrastate assessment model is proposed by using the correlation degree assessment method and TOPSIS method, which is used to measure the energy use of the states from 1960 to 2009.
