STUDIES ON THE BREEDING FOR QUALITY CHARACTERISTICS IN RAPESEED——Ⅳ. GENETIC STUDIES ON THE TOTAL GLUCOSINOLATE CONTENT IN RAPESEED AND ITS RELATION TO MAIN AGRONOMIC CHARACTERS
The total glucosinolate content(TGC) of rapeseed (Brassica napusL,) was investigated in parental, hybrid and segregating populations derivedfrom shenli rape and tower. It was discovered that the TGC in F_1 seeds wasmainly determined by the genotype of maternal plant; in F_2 and BC_1F_1 seeds,it was affected by the TGC in maternal seeds; in F_3 and BC_1F_2 seeds, it showedquantitative characters. The amount of TGC was controlled by three pairs ofpartial dominant genes. The broad and narrow heritability was 89.9% and 72.7%respectively.
