Plasma transferrin (Tf) concentration in Er-Hua-lian pigs at various stageswere measured by the sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The relation-ship of Tf concentration to body weight, daily gain and plasma iron(PI) concentration wereassessed. The results showed that Tf concentration of nursing piglets was higher than those ofboth growing pigs and adults, and Tf concentration of growing pigs was higher than that ofadults.
