The sensibility to challenge with the Y8504 strain of virulent Tu-wen virus and the characters of infectious process were observed in rabbits situated at sober (controls), experimentally levering, anesthetic or artificiallysleeping states. The results showed that, as compared with that found in thesober rabbits, the fever rasponse to the virus infection was significantly inhib-ited in the anesthetic rabbits and it was also inhibited in some degree in arti-ficially sleeping rabbits.
