A position-fixed modelling experiment and a field investigation were conducted to study effects of rice-based cropping systems,groundwater level and green manure application rate on activities of four soil enzymes. Hydrogen pe- roxidase,cellulosase,urease and phosphatase were more active in soil in the cro- pping systems of early rice-late rice-winter rape crop and early rice-late rice- winter-green manure than that of early rice-late rice-winter flooding.
