This paper reports the result of survey for rice insect pests carried out inHunan province from 1983 to 1985. 121 species were collected in the rice fieldsexcept a few which were based on accumulated historical data from 1951 to 1982.These specimens have been identified by the authors and belong to 8 orders.34 families, 100 genera, respectively.
