烟草蛙眼病菌菌丝生长最适温度为25-32℃, 在pH5-10之间病菌生长良好, 致死温度为55℃。该病菌对碳源的利用以蔗糖最佳, 在具L-天冬酰胺的培养基上病菌生长最好。烟草蛙眼病菌寄主人工接种可浸染所供试的12科作物中的6科13种作物, 除烟草外, 还可侵染茄、辣椒、菜豆、绿豆、蚕豆、大豆、饭豆、菊芋、冬葵、白菜、蕹菜及牵牛花等。

The biological chaercteristic and the host range of Cercospora nicotianae Ell&Ev. were stuided from 1991～1993.The results showed that the optimum temperature for theC. nicotianae to grow was 25～30℃,the lethal temperature was 55℃,the optimal acidity waspH 5～10,the best carbon and nitrogen sources were sucrose and asparagine,It infected 13species of 6 families given for the test which included Nicotiana tobacco,Solanum melongiia,Capsicum annuum,Vicia faba,Phaseolus radiatus,Vigma cyli1idrica,Phaseolus vulgaris,Brassica pelcine...
