The effects of cadmium and lead in soil on rice and cotton were studied by using pot culture method.The results indicated:The two heavy metals had negative effects on the growth of rice and cotton.Under the treated concentration of Cadmium at ≥20 mg/L or Lead at ≥1 000 mg/L,the growth of rice or cotton seedlings was inhibited,but the germing percentage was not influenced.
