随着世界农业现代化进程加快,采用科学的标准尺度来描述和衡量农业发展的状况是必须的,在参考现阶段国内外众多农业现代化评价指标体系的基础上建立湖南现代农业评价指标体系,结果表明:湖南省农业总体上已处在现代农业的初步发展阶段,其中农业投入水平较高,处于现代农业的基本实现阶段;农业产业化尚处于起点阶段;农业生产已具有一定的科技含量;农业支持保障水平尚处于起点阶段,农业经济结构处于农业现代化的起点阶段;全面推进农业现代化已具备了较好的社会经济条件和物质技术基础。湖南提前实现农业现代化具有多方面的有利条件,但也存在制约因素,有许多难点需要解决。
