英汉两种语言都有着丰富的习用性比喻,但喻体的运用却存在很大差异.本文从文化角度,通过分析地域环境、事物的联想意义、文学典故以及音韵效果四方面的不同来探讨两种语言中明喻喻体差异的成因,从而克服跨文化交际中的障碍.

Both English and Chinese are rich in metaphors, but the applications of vehicles in the similes are quite different.
