With a two-period Over-Lapping-Generations Model, this paper analyses the effects of ＂New Rural Pension System＂ on the fertility of rural residents based on willingness. The findings are that the ＂New Rural Pension System＂ can, to some extent, offer the financial support to parents in old age in place of reliance on filial support and thus reduce the births of free will.
