以木质纤维素为原料生产燃料乙醇是目前的一个研究重点，其中利用木糖产乙醇微生物的研究尤为重要。本文简要概述了自然界中能利用木糖产乙醇的几种主要丝状真菌及基因工程技术在之研究中的应用，并展望了今后的研究方向。
