通过对湖南某高校非英语专业本科生和研究生英语学习动机减退进行调查发现,两组学生动机减退的情况都比较严重。数据分析结果显示,虽然造成学习者学习动机减退的影响因素有很多且不尽相同,但是两组学生都认为教学内容、教学方式和教师的教学态度会对学习者的英语学习动机有重大影响。因此,应不断提高教师的专业技术水平和自身素质;改善教学方式、教学内容和课程设置;引导学生增强自我效能感,促进其外在动机向内在动机转化,来提升学生的英语学习动机。
