Significance Statement Abscisic acid (ABA) could be induced by cold stress, which can restrains the activity of PP2Cs to reduce the activity of CaSnRK2.4 kinase. CaSnRK2.4 can interact with and phosphorylate CaNAC035. CaNAC035 is induced by both cold and ABA treatments. Over expression of CaNAC035 resulted in enhanced cold stress tolerance, while knockdown of CaNAC035 significantly reduced resistance to cold stress.
