农村体育是我国群众体育发展的薄弱环节。提升农村群众体育水平,构建多元化的农村体育服务体系,服务农民大众,为农民提供体育公共产品和体育竞赛活动服务,是建设社会主义新农村体育服务体系的主要目标。在社会主义市场经济条件下,引入非政府组织参与农村体育服务体系建设,构建完善的农村体育服务体系,为新农村体育服务体系建设开辟新的途径。
