如何实现中国高等教育国际化与本土化的结合是中外合作办学研究中备受关注的核心问题.本文以湖南农业大学为例,阐述了中外合作办学过程中国际化与本土化相冲突的具体体现,探索出中外合作办学国际化与本土化相融合的特色建设途径,即项目管理建立双重管理机制，维护项目健康运行；课程设置融入本土优势，打造新型人才培养模式；教学模式重视渗入式英语教学，开创渐进式双语教学；考评模式“中西合璧”、公正公开；学生管理以人为本，别具特色。同时对中外合作办学健康发展的前景进行展望,以期对当前我国中外合作办学实践有所裨益.
