Rich in tea polyphenols, tea is playing an important role in prevention and treatment of lung cancer and other malignant tumors. This article reviews the researches on effects of tea and tea extracts on the prevention and treatment of lung cancer and related tumors induced by smoking and passive smoking. The mechanism of anticancer effects of tea polyphenols was analysed.
