Herein, the nitrogen-doped hollow mesoporous carbon spheres (N-HMCs) modified g-C 3 N 4 /Bi 2 O 3 direct dual semiconductor photocatalyst (g-C 3 N 4 /Bi 2 O 3 @N-HMCs) were synthesized by a facile thermal process. The morphology, structure, elements, and photoelectrochemical properties of the as-prepared samples were characterized by electron microscopy, N 2 sorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, diffuse-reflectance spectra, and photoluminescence spectroscopy, among other technologies.
