Understanding how the seedling establishment method affects arsenic (As) accumulation in rice is important for safe agricultural production. In a field experiment with three seedling establishment methods and two rice cultivars, the effects of direct seeding (DS), manual transplanting (MT), and seedling throwing (ST) on root morphological indices and the distribution, translocation, and accumulation of As in rice tissues across growth stages were compared.
