Fifty four indica-japonica hybrids and corresponding parents were evaluated. The results were as follow.: The culm Leight of Fl hybrids exhibited high degree of keterosis due to more and longer internodes. among which the second and third internods were much longer.The culm height of Fl hybrids was positively correlated with the high and mean parental values as well as the days from sowing to helding of F1 hybrids at significant level.
