A21 is a homeobox gene of Arabidopsis thaliana and it is expressed in all active developing tissues. A 5′fragment of 410bp of A21 cDNA is cloned into a T-DNA vector pTA 7002 in a reverted direction under the control of a regulated promoter. Thus an antisense A21 gene is constructed.
