Carbendazim is a highly effective benzimidazole fungicide and is widely used throughout the world. The effects of carbendazim contamination on the biology and environment should be paid more attention. We reviewed the published papers to evaluate the biological and environmental risks of carbendazim residues. The carbendazim has been frequently detected in the soil, water, air, and food samples and disrupted the soil and water ecosystem balances and functions.
