Analyzing and predicting the spatiotemporal evolution of habitat quality caused by land use change is highly significant for optimizing regional ecosystems. In this study, we first examined habitat quality changes along the Jiangxi section of the Gan-Yue Canal from 1980 to 2020 using historical land use data (i.e., 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020) and the InVEST model.
