隐喻研究已成为语言研究中发展最为迅速和极具意义的领域之一。由于其普遍性和认知特性,隐喻被普遍应用于语言学习领域。更重要的是,隐喻成为语言学习者在第二语言习得过程中学习、记忆及掌握词汇的一个最佳途径。文章试图将隐喻理论与英语词汇学习结合起来,以证实隐喻可以使词汇学习更富有成效,并展示其对语言学习的指导功能和应用价值。
