Three main types of soil in Qidong district have been compared in this paper and the fertility conditions of all those soil have been discovered. The result of the experiment show that, the purple soil is the most suitable type in all those soil, the PH value and the organic content of paddy soil are higher than the normal one, the PH value, the fast-acting potassium, the effective zinc, the effective ehlorinity of red soil are lower than the normal type.
