城镇化和新农村建设都是我国目前社会发展的现实需要.没有新农村建设,城镇化将失去客观基础;没有城镇化,新农村建设将丧失原动力.坚持二者的协调发展是我国目前城乡统筹的具体实现形式.但在其协调发展中存在城乡公共产品供给不平衡、城市群发展不充分、生产要素不能自由流动和以工促农、以城带乡运作乏力等多方面的问题,应从公共产品均衡机制、城市群发展机制、要素流动机制和以工促农、以城带乡的长效机制的构建和完善等方面,促进我国目前的城乡统筹发展.
