以湖南省五个地区为研究对象,采用调查法和文献资料法,从社会变迁的角度对我国传统节庆体育活动的流变进行全面剖析,提出我国传统节庆体育的流变是全方位的流变,社会变迁是其流变的根本原因,社会需求是其流变的原动力,传统节庆体育的流变具有明显的地域特色,体育健身功能不是其本质功能,民族文化认同功能才是其流变传承的目标。
