In order to provide theoretical basis for the design of small straw knot devices,with dry straw rope as the experimental material,the tensile strength limit σ and the elongation δ of the straw rope are separately measured. The experimental results show that: the twin straw rope with diameter of 1 cm can bear the ultimate tension of 6. 30 N,the tensile ultimate strength is 0.08 MPa,and the elongation is 21.96%.
