The occurrence of translation shift is an unavoidable phenomenon in translation of various genres. Combining translation shifts with the translation of legislative texts, this paper makes a descriptive analysis of translation shifts in legislative texts, and it is pointed out translation shifts in the English translations of Chinese legislative texts should be analyzed from beth micro and macro perspectives.
