Studies on the effect of Cry1Ab protein on hemocytes of the wolf spider Pardosa pseudoannulata revealed that Cry1Ab protein could accumulate in the four-instar and adult spiders via the food chain from transgenic rice expressing Cry1Ab protein through its prey brown planthoppers with approximate 20-time enrichment, but could not accumulate in hemolymph of the spider.
