The injuried degree of Pistia stratiotes L. due to pollution of linear alkylethoxylate (AE) was diagnosed by the relative activities of three kinds of enzymes: surperoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and peroxidase (POD). The results showed: Pistia stratiotes L. was injured slightly at ρ (AE) 0.1 mg/L at 17℃; when the concentration of AE was 1.0 or 10.0 mg/L, the injured degree increased, but Pistia stratiotes L. could recover because of these protection enzymes.
