The method of Multi-affinity analysis and Fourier transfer are used to distinguish coding and non-coding sequences in a complete genome based on a number sequence representation. First, a number sequence representation of DNA sequences is introduced. Multi-affinity analysis and Fourier transfer then are performed on the representation of the obtained number sequence. Three appropriate exponents are selected to construct a parameter space. Thus, each coding or non-coding sequence can be represented by a point in the three parameter space.
