Miscanthus has been used to breed a variety of energy crops suitable for cultivation in various adverse environments. The collection, conservation, characterization and maintenance of Miscanthus genetic resources are the basic premises for improving Miscanthus crop varieties and their utilization. Large datasets will be generated at the same time. A system designed to manage and analyse those large datasets of Miscanthus germplasms in a coherent and systematic manner is urgently needed.
