Qualitative and quantitative analysis of online public opinion of the H7N9 animal epidemic incident in 2013 were conducted based on social network analysis (SNA) theories, SNA method, and life cycle theories. Trend and features of evolution of online public opinion of animal epidemic emergency were explored and structural characteristics of key nodes in these public opinion spreading networks were identified.
