山苍子精油是一种淡黄或橙黄色、具有芳香的天然植物精油，具有抗菌、抗氧化、抗炎等多种生物功能，在食品、医疗、化工等行业已经得到广泛应用。但目前将山苍子精油应用于在动物生产的研究较少。本文综述了山苍子精油的组成成分、生物学功能及其在动物生产中的应用研究进展，为进一步促进山苍子精油在动物生产中的应用提供理论依据。
