摘要:
This study extensively explores the complex relationship between environmental investments made by pension funds and insurance companies and their influence on expenses associated with fossil fuels. Analyzing data from 2015 to 2020 across ten OECD economies, the research employs the Fully Modified OLS technique to extract meaningful insights. The results reveal that a 1% increase in environmental investments propels practices focused on energy conservation and increased efficiency by 0.49%, underscoring a dedicated commitment to sustainability. Additionally, a 1% increase in IT expenditures is associated with a 0.10% improvement in energy efficiency. Conversely, heightened green tax payments exhibit a negative correlation with energy usage, emphasizing the impact of regulatory incentives. To bolster sustainable investments, the paper advocates for robust ESG reporting, support for SMEs, the adoption of green corporate management practices, and improved access to green financial markets.

摘要:
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a broad spectrum of economic, social and environmental goals to be achieved by 2030. The Yangtze River Economic Zone (YREZ) is an important national regional development strategy in China. National and regional development strategies like the YREZ play a crucial role in achieving the SDGs. Therefore, this paper presents an assessment method for measuring progress of SDGs at the local level and takes the case of the YREZ in China. The local SDGs indicator framework is developed based on availability of good data and alignment with the global indicator framework (SGIF), including 60 indicators covering 17 goals. The local SDGs index and three target indexes are aggregated based on entropy-weighting method. The SDGs progress of each province (municipality) in the YREZ is assessed based on the proposed method. The results show that: (1) all eleven provinces (municipalities) in the YREZ face significant challenges in achieving the SDGs, (2) the local SDGs index is not only correlated with economy development but also with other factors, such as environmental protection and social development; (3) even the wealthiest provinces (municipalities) also face major challenges in meeting several goals of the SDGs, and some poor provinces (municipalities) have achieved good performance in some goals.

摘要:
Budget management plays an important role in universities financial management. To reach a well-performing budget management requires a practicable and correct evaluation system to evaluate the financial position of a university and to understand how university is influenced by relevant indicators. This paper case studied a comprehensive university in China; use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to build a budget management evaluation indicator system, then analyzed the sample university's financial performance of budget management. The results indicated a well financial situation of the sample university. There were indicators that turned out to take lager weights such as the ratio of self-financing and total income, the ratio of self-raised infrastructural expenditure and infrastructural expenditure and so on. This indicator system that proposed in this paper could provide suggestions and guidance in university budget management.
