Enhancing the electrochemical performance of micron-scale SiO@C/CNTs anode via adding piezoelectric material BaTiO3 for high-power lithium ion battery

摘要:
Silicon monoxide (SiO)-based negative materials have attracted widespread attention due to the low working potential and high specific capacity. However, the large volume dilation (about 200%) is adverse to the electrochemical performance of battery during the charge-discharge process. To overcome the disadvantage of volume change, much effort has been paid to minimize the volume expansion. Unfortunately, the volume change is inescapable no matter how to modify the SiO-based materials. Therefore, utilizing the characteristics of volume expansion to improve the electrochemical properties of SiO-based material is the most desirable method. Piezoelectric materials can generate local piezoelectric field when suffer from the mechanical stress, which serves as a driving force to accelerate the transmission speed of Li ion, result in the improve of electrochemistry performance. In this work, SiO@C/BaTiO3/Carbon nanotubes composites are successfully synthesized and served as anode materials for lithium ion batteries (LIBs). The SiO and BaTiO3 are dispersed uniformly in amorphous carbon matrix, the large volume expansion of SiO can transfer to the BaTiO3 via the carbon matrix. When the BaTiO3 nanoparticles poled, the piezoelectric potential is generated, which can promote the mobility of Li ion. Carbon nanotubes provides the transmission channel to accelerate the diffusion of Li ion, which is benefited to the constitution and structure of composite, the SiO@C/BaTiO3/Carbon nanotubes exhibit excellent electrochemical performance with a high charge capacity of 711.7 mAh g(-1) and a high capacity retention of 92.4% after 200 cycles at 100 mA g(-1). Experimental results suggest that the piezoelectric material BaTiO3 can enhance the electrochemical properties of SiO-based materials. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

摘要:
Indoor cultivation has attracted more and more concerns in the last few years. Searching for ideal red-emitting phosphors for this application has been a great challenge. In this paper, a novel red-emitting phosphor SrAl3BO7:Mn4+ (SABO:Mn4+) had been synthesized through a modified hydrothermal reaction method for the first time. Three kinds of effect parameters, including hydrothermal reacting time, sintering temperature and Mn4+ doping concentration, were comprehensively considered to optimize the phase purity and luminescent properties of the SABO:Mn4+ phosphor. Besides, the luminescent properties of SABO:Mn4+ was systematically investigated through UV–vis absorption spectra, PLE and PL spectra, CIE chromaticity coordinate and decay times. The excitation band of this phosphor locates in the wavelength range of 250–550 nm, resulting from Mn4+ → O2− charge transfer and electron transitions from 4A2–4T1, 2T2 and 4T2 energy levels. Meanwhile, a sharp emission band is detected from 600 to 700 nm with two emission peaks located at 648 and 662 nm, which is assigned to 2E → 4A2 characteristic transition of Mn4+. In addition, Mg2+/Zn2+/Ca2+ are co-doped as charge compensators to improve the luminescent properties of SABO:0.03Mn4+. The impacts of doping concentration of Mg2+/Zn2+/Ca2+ on the photoluminescent intensity, QE and thermal stability of SABO:0.03Mn4+ phosphor is investigated carefully. The corresponding mechanism is discussed via decay times, EPR spectra and configurational coordinated diagram. More importantly, the EL spectrum of as-fabricated pc-LED device matches well with the absorption of plant pigments, demonstrating this novel phosphor can regard as a promising red-emitting luminescent material to meet the light requirement in plant growth LED lighting. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

摘要:
Rechargeable lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are a significant energy-storage device owing to their eco-friendliness and high theoretical energy density. However, the shuttle effect of soluble polysulfides as well as the slow redox kinetics constrains the development of Li-S batteries. Herein, carbon nanodots-decorated alveolate N, O, S tridoped hierarchical porous carbon (a-NOSPC) material is synthesized via facile pyrolysis of tobacco stem. The coexistence of micropores, mesopores, and macropore in the hierarchical porous carbon are beneficial for physical accommodating/immobilizing active materials sulfur and rapid charge/ion transfer. Meanwhile, the N, O, S dopants provide rich electrocatalytic active site in chemical binding of polysulfides and their accelerated redox kinetics, thus guaranteeing high utilization on active materials. The resultant a-NOSPC/S cathode with an 2.7 mg cm(-2) areal sulfur loading delivers a high reversible areal capacity of 2.90mAh cm(-2) at 0.1 C, maintaining 2.01mAh cm(-2) over 100 cycles, which is obviously superior to the most reported biochar-based electrodes. Our results provide an appealing avenue to the design of multifunctional sulfur host for advanced Li-S batteries. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

摘要:
Lithium-sulfur batteries hold great promise for large-scale energy storage owing to their high theoretical energy density and low cost. However, the insulating nature of sulfur and shuttle effect of polysulfides result in low sulfur utilization and rapid capacity decay. Here, sulfonated graphene is fabricated using the low-cost diluted sulfuric acid as sulfonated reagent, for constructing the freestanding sulfur cathode. It is confirmed that the sulfo groups grafted on graphene serve as mediators to react with long-chain polysulfides by forming the thiosulfate/polythionate intermediates, and facilitate the conversion of long-chain polysulfides into short-chain species and solid discharge products. Crucially, the freestanding cathode with sulfur loading of 8.2 mg cm−2 exhibits an areal capacity of 7.57 mA h cm−2 and stable cycling over 100 cycles at 0.1 C. © 2018

摘要:
Mn4+ activated Ca14Ga10Zn6O35 (CGZO)have attracted much attention for the usages of white light-emitting-diodes (WLEDs), solar cells and plant growth LEDs. In this paper, we conducted chemical unit engineering in CGZO:Mn4+ by substituting Ge4+-M+ (M = Li, Na, K)for Ga3+-Ca2+. The impacts of Ge4+-M+ (M = Li, Na, K)substitution on the crystal structure, photoluminescence properties, quantum efficiency (QE)and thermal stability were investigated systematically. With the increase of Ge4+-Li+/Na+ and Ge4+-K+, the diffraction peaks moved towards higher and lower angle, respectively. The greatest improvement of emission intensity in Ge4+-Li+/Na+/K+ co-doped CGZO:Mn4+ reached up to 169.4%, 195.0% and 198.9%. Moreover, an obvious red shift (∼3.6 nm)was detected in Ge4+-Li+ case and this change was interpreted by Tanabe–Sugano diagram. The IQE and EQE of Ge4+-Li+/Na+/K+ co-doped CGZO:Mn4+ showed remarkable improvements. The highest values of IQE and EQE were found to be 50.9% and 38.9% in Ge4+-K+ incorporated sample. Furthermore, conducting chemical unit engineering in CGZO:Mn4+ could slightly enhance its thermal stability. The configurational coordinated diagram was employed to understand this enhancement comprehensively. Finally, LED devices were fabricated by using Ge4+-Li+ co-doped CGZO:Mn4+ phosphor as light convertor. The excellent electronic luminescence (EL)properties and matchable emission with the absorption of plant pigments demonstrating that these phosphors have promising application in plant growth LED lighting. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.

Non-rare earth Mn4+-activated strontium aluminate phosphor is considered to be a promising material for plant cultivation field owing to their advantage of inexpensively, environment friendly, nontoxic, and appropriate spectral range. In this paper, a Sr4-xBaxAl13.99O25:0.01Mn(4+),1.4H(3)BO(3) strontium aluminate phosphor is synthesized by a convenient high-temperature solid-state reaction. The photoluminescence spectra located at red region with a peak at 655 nm in the range of 600 to 750 nm that can be excited under the excitation of ultraviolet (similar to 346 nm) or blue light (similar to 450 nm). The shape emission band at 655 nm is attributed to the transition of E-2(g)-(4)A(2g). Furthermore, the emission intensity of Sr4-xBaxAl13.99O25: 0.01Mn(4+),1.4H(3)BO(3) phosphor is conducted in detail with the variety of Ba2+ doping concentration and the intensity can be enhanced to 140.9% than the Sr4Al13.99O25:0.01Mn(4+),1.4H(3)BO(3) when the value of Ba2+ concentration equal to 0.1 mol. In addition, the X-ray diffraction spectra, element mapping, composition modifying, optical properties, FT-IR spectra, diffuse reflectance spectra, thermal stability, and fluorescence lifetime are systematically investigated. According to the electro-luminescent spectra of as-packaged LED, indicating that the Sr3.9Ba0.1Al13.99O25:0.01Mn(4+),1.4H(3)BO(3) phosphor will become a great candidate for plant cultivation LEDs due to the emission spectra match well the plant pigment spectrum.

摘要:
A series SiO/[email protected] (SGC) composites electrode are successfully prepared by a fluidization thermal chemical vapor deposition (FTCVD) route in a kilogram-scale fluidized bed CVD equipment. This strategy can avoid the effect of particle agglomeration on carbon coating during heating reaction. The phase composition, element distribution, particle appearance and electrochemical properties of the as-obtained SGC composite is investigated in detail. The charge specific capacity of SGC-37 is close to 799.1 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles at 200 mA g−1. The SGC-37 shows a high capacity retention of 93.7% after 100 cycles, which much higher than that of SiO, [email protected], SGC-73 and SGC-55 (the retention rates are 26.3%, 56.8%, 75.5% and 89.6%, respectively). The reason is mainly because improve Li ion diffusion coefficient, shorten transfer pathway of Li ion and ease to the volume change of SiO due to surface carbon coating and graphite addition. The FTCVD methods is not only an efficient method to prepared SGC anode, but also is may easy to apply to surface carbon coating of another particle material. © 2018 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

Silicon monoxide has attracted wide interest as a negative material for lithium-ion batteries because of its high theoretical capacity. Moreover, in this paper, lithium fluoride serves as an additive, which can improve the initial coulombic efficiency of silicon monoxide-based electrodes. This work develops a simple two-step method to prepare a lithium fluoride-modified [email protected]/graphite composite as an anode for lithium-ion batteries. First, [email protected] is prepared via a chemical vapor deposition method; then, [email protected]/graphite-LiF is obtained by mixing [email protected], graphite and LiF in a stirrer. The phase composition, particle appearance and electrochemical properties of the [email protected]/graphite-LiF composites are characterized via X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge and discharge analyses. The [email protected]/graphite-7.5% LiF composite shows a high capacity retention rate of over 91% after 100 cycles. The capacity of [email protected]/graphite-LiF is close to 200 mAh g −1 at 3.2 A g −1 , which is much higher than that of [email protected]/graphite (only 21 mAh g −1 ). This result is mainly because Li ion transport is improved during the lithiation/delithiation process and stabilizes the solid electrolyte interface layer due to lithium fluoride addition. The encouraging results suggest that adding lithium fluoride to SiO-based materials is an effective strategy to improve the electrochemical properties and can be applied to high-energy storage systems. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Developing a highly efficient and low-cost catalyst on a large scale is still a big challenge for fuel cells and metal-air batteries. Decorating carbon supports with some active sites (e.g., nitrogen doping, metal-nitrogen doping) seems to be a promising strategy. In this work, we first reported a Cu-centered metal organic framework (Cu-MOF) as a self-sacrificing precursor to modify the Ketjenblack (KB) carbon, where crystalline Cu/Cu<inf>2</inf>O nanoparticles and noncrystalline CuN<inf>x</inf>C<inf>y</inf>species were derived after calcination. The catalytic activity toward the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) of this modified KB carbon was significantly boosted probably because of the synergistic effect between crystalline Cu/Cu<inf>2</inf>O nanoparticles and noncrystalline CuN<inf>x</inf>C<inf>y</inf>species. This hybrid catalyst exhibited a comparable half-wave potential (0.82 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode, RHE) and superior limiting-current density and durability to the commercial 20 wt % Pt/C. The excellent activity was also further confirmed by the application in home-made Al-air batteries, yielding a highly stable voltage of 1.53 V at a current density of 40 mA cm<sup>-2</sup>.<br/> ©2017 American Chemical Society.

火焰原子吸收光谱仪使用是化学工程专业教学的重要环节,原子吸收广泛用于水体、土壤、植物以及食品行业中重金属元素的检测。由于其使用过程受到的影响因素较多,测试数据会因样品制备,仪器使用等不同存在较大差异,影响正确的结果分析。本文通过人为设定的一些不规范操作及样品制备,通过检测结果的误差进行仪器正确操作的必要性教学,提高学生综合素质。

摘要:
NASICON-type NaTi2(PO4)(3) has been acknowledged as a promising anode for energy storage due to high ion conductivity and low cost. Nevertheless, intrinsic low electrical conductivity of NaTi2(PO4)(3) and low stability in aqueous electrolyte limit its further applications in aqueous lithium rechargeable battery. In this paper, polyaniline as carbon and nitrogen sources was employed to synthesize nitrogen-doped carbon coated NaTi2(PO4)(3) (NTP-P) composite by sol-gel approach and following calcination treatment. The loose and carbon-coated structure endows NTP-P with good structure stability and improved electrochemical kinetics. Compared with glucose-derived carbon-coated NaTi2(PO4)(3) composite, NTP-P exhibits superior rate and cycling performance. NTP-P with proper carbon content delivers the discharge capacity of 119.4 and 83.4 mAh g(-1) at rate of 0.2 and 15 C, and its capacity retention can maintain 85.8% after 1000 cycles at 5 C. This research reveals that the integration of carbon coating and nitrogen doping by using polyaniline give an excellent method to enhance the electrochemical properties of electrode materials. 针对研究生研讨课程和本科教学中研讨模式中积极性不高、授课效果不理想等问题,将研究生和本科生进行搭配,开展了混合层次学生研讨课程的教学实践,并总结了相关经验教训。实践发现,新型的授课模式能有效激发学习热情,受到各层次学生的普遍欢迎。通过混合层次研讨课程的开展,培养锻炼了研究生的综合能力,开拓了本科生的科研视界,形成了"研究生领导本科生,本科生带动研究生"的良性模式,极大地提升了研讨课程的授课效果,是一种较为理想的新型研讨授课模式,对该课程的改革具有重要意义。

针对本科同学毕业论文质量不高、科技论文写作技能低下、课程授课效果不理想等问题,结合大学生科技创新项目对科技论文写作课程的授课模式进行改革实践,结果表明,新型授课模式能够有效增强同学们的参与热情,充分利用课余时间解决上课课时有限的关键问题,通过鼓励同学们积极参与创新项目的申报推动授课学生科技论文写作的课余实践,极大地提升了该门课程的授课效果,加强了同学们对科技论文写作技巧的掌握程度,受到同学们的高度肯定,为今后该门课程的进一步改革提供借鉴。

摘要:
In this work, a high-performance LiTi 2 (PO 4 ) 3 coated with N-doped carbon was prepared throught sol-gel method followed by high-temperature carbonization using polyacrylonitrile (PAN) as both carbon and nitrogen sources. The morphology, structure, and electrochemical properties of LiTi 2 (PO 4 ) 3 samples with various carbon content are investigated. LiTi 2 (PO 4 ) 3 composite with 5.9% carbon exhibits the best electrochemical properties due to good dispersion, proper thickness of carbon layer, nitrogen doping for carbon layer. When tested as anode for aqueous rechargeable lithium battery, LiTi 2 (PO 4 ) 3 with 5.9% carbon demonstrates outstanding rate and cycling performance. The composite delivers the discharge capacity of 120.0, 106.9, and 79.1 mAh g −1 at 1, 5, and 20 C, respectively, and the capacity retention can reach 86.4% after 1000 cycles at 5 C. The excellent properties of as-synthesized sample mainly come from the accelerated transfer of lithium ions and electrons due to formation of more nano-scale channel and nitrogen doping for carbon layer. Our study reveals that PAN shows a promising prospect as both carbon and nitrogen sources in synthesis of LiTi 2 (PO 4 ) 3 -based electrode. © 2018 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l.

针对《文献检索》课程授课效果不理想、本科创新项目学生参与积极性不够等问题,笔者将大学生科技创新项目与《文献检索》课程的授课进行有机结合,对该门课程的授课模式进行改革实践。结果表明,新型授课模式能够有效激发同学们的学习兴趣,以科创项目为实例彻底解决学生参与积极性的问题,充分利用同龄人相互间的信任有效推进重难点的讲授和相关情绪的改变,结合考核评价体系促进同学们进行实践实验,并通过研讨论坛的开展针对性地解决相关问题。本次改革极大地改善了《文献检索》课程的授课效果,提升了同学们对文献查阅等相关技巧的掌握程度,为今后该门课程的深入改革提供参考。

摘要:
Grape vine shoots were utilized as the biomass feedstock and pyrolyzed under temperatures ranging in 300°C–600°C with nitrogen atmosphere to produce biochars. The surface properties of the as-obtained biochars were characterized, followed with the careful investigation of the adsorption of lead and cadmium removal in aqueous environments. All as-prepared biochars had weak alkali characteristics and large amount of mineral species, which can greatly improve the adsorption performance. Outstanding storing capacities of 250.81, 327.31, 377.36 mg g –1 for Cd 2+ and 156.12, 237.25, 258.86 mg g –1 for Pb 2+ were exhibited by biochar pyrolyzed under 300°C, 450°C and 600°C, respectively. The adsorption equilibrium could be reached about 7 h and the suitable solution pH should be above 3. Both Langmuir and Freundlich models fitted the data well and precipitation was found to be the dominant mechanism for the adsorption of both metals. Overall, grape vine shoots are confirmed to be a promising feedstock to produce biochar sorbents of heavy metals in wastewater with excellent performance, economic cost, and easy process. © 2018, Desalination Publications.
