摘要:
A new disease of strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch.) was discovered in the Lianqiao strawberry planting base in Shaodong County, in Hunan Province, China. In the early disease stage, leaves showed small black spots surrounded by yellow halos, while in the late stage, a white fluffy layer of mold appeared. Fruits were covered with a white layer of mold. The symptoms were observed using in vitro inoculation experiments. After the spray-inoculation of stabbed leaves, small black spots surrounded by yellow halos occurred on leaves, with no clear boundary between diseased and healthy areas. In the late stage, disease spots gradually expanded and a white fluffy layer of mold formed under humid conditions. Unstabbed leaves had almost no disease occurrence after spray-inoculation. After the spray-inoculation of stabbed fruits, by the late stage, a dense white layer of mold formed. According to Koch’s postulates, the isolated strain was verified as a pathogen. The pathogenic strain, designated SDLQ16, was isolated from diseased fruit by dilution method and tentatively identified as G. candidum based on the culture characteristics, morphologies, physio-biochemical analysis, and phylogenetic analysis of the rDNA-ITS sequence. The fungus was able to grow on different culture mediums, with a broad range of nutrition. The colonies on PDA medium were raised and pale white, with a neat edge and visible hyphae. The hyphae were friable but the spores were developing. Basal hyphae rapidly grew close to the medium to 3.2–4.2 µm in diameter, with septa and forked branches at acute angles. The solitary or beaded spores with smooth surfaces were 3.5–7.5 µm in length and 3.5–4.5 µm in width. This strain was able to gelatin liquefaction, proteolysis, grease, peptonised milk, urea, and so on. The pathogenicity on strawberry from strong to weak was: fruit > leaf > stem. A BLAST algorithm was used to query SDLQ16’s rDNA-ITS sequence (cloned and deposited as GenBank number KU373122) against the NCBI database, and it was located in the Acinetobacter sp. branch of a phylogenetic tree. SDLQ16 was most closely related to Geotrichum candidum ATCC34614 (GQ4580314.1), with a sequence similarity of 99%. © 2018, Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences. All rights reserved.

A novel phenazine-l-carboxamide-derived 18-1 (PCND 18-1) was evaluated in terms of its potential for the development and enrichment of new biofungicides for the control of rice sheath blight caused by Rhizoctonia solani. PCND 18-1 exhibited fungicidal activity against R. solani, showing an inhibition rate of 87.64%, with a 50% effective concentration (EC50) 4.25 mu g/mL, regression equation of Y = 0.7105x + 3.8428; and correlation coefficient of 0.9817, which are indicative of its potential as a natural biofungicide. PCND 18-1 also attenuated the pathogenicity of R. solani, which was concentration-dependent. Additionally, the action mode of PCND 18-1 against rice sheath blight (R. solani) was protective better than curative activity under greenhouse condition, as reflected by the corresponding EC50 values of 2.49 and 5.72 mu g/mL. PCND 18-1 can translocate in rice with a low translocation capacity and exhibited a higher capacity for upward (root-leaf) translocation than for downward (leaf-root) translocation. Furthermore, PCND 18-1 demonstrated adhesion to leaves but poor tolerance against rain-washing. The optimal persistence period of PCND 18-1 on rice was 7 d. (C) 2018 Friends Science Publishers

The purpose of this research was to explore the effect of phenazine-1-carboxamide (PCN) on Rhizoctonia solani and to elucidate its mechanisms of action. The toxicity of PCN to R. solani was measured using a growth rate method. The results indicated that PCN inhibited R. solani with a 50% effective concentration (EC50) of 9.0934 μg/mL. The mycelia of R. solani were then exposed to 18.18 μg/mL (2EC50) of PCN. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to observe the effects of PCN on mycelial morphology and ultrastructure. Following the PCN treatment, the optical microscopy observations revealed that the mycelia appeared twisted; the branching mycelia grew, but the main mycelia did not grow following branching; and the mycelial roots possessed more vacuoles. SEM observations revealed that the mycelia were locally swollen and exhibited a sharp decrease in prominence. TEM observations showed that the cell wall became thin and deformed; the mitochondria disappeared; the septum twisted; and most of the organelles were difficult to discern. Conversely, all of the organelles could be clearly observed in the control. We then used real-time quantitative PCR and an enzyme activity testing kit to further explore the effects of PCN on the cell wall and mitochondria. Physiological and biochemical results demonstrated that both the cell wall and mitochondria constitute are PCN targets. PCN inhibited the activities of chitin synthetase and complex I of the mitochondria electron transport chain. Molecular experiments demonstrated that PCN controlled the growth of R. solani mycelia by inhibiting the expression level of chitin synthetase genes. Future research on PCN should investigate its influence on metabolic pathways, thereby aiding in the potential development of novel pesticides. © 2017 Elsevier Inc.

The beryllide Be12Ti is considered to be the most promising candidate material for advanced plasma facing materials in future fusion reactors because of its excellent performance. In this work, first-principles calculations were conducted to gain insight into the retention and diffusion behavior of transmutation H and He atoms in Be12Ti. The solution energy and migration energy of single impurity H/He atoms were computed to study the behavior of their retention and diffusion. Among seven stable interstitial sites, H atoms preferentially occupy the octahedral interstitial site, Ioct, whereas He atoms preferentially occupy the dodecahedral interstitial site, Idode. The solubility of H is much higher than that of He in Be12Ti. When monovacancy is generated, H atoms preferentially stay in the vicinity of Be1 vacancies, while He atoms tend to reside in the center of Ti vacancies. The migration energy barrier of a single He atom between first near-neighbor Idode sites is 0.35 eV. For H atoms, the migration energy barrier from Idode to Itetra2 is 0.45 eV. The barrier along the paths Itri1-Idode-Itri1 is 0.38 eV. When a Be3 vacancy is introduced as the neighbour of Itri1, the migration energy barrier increases to 0.77 eV. These results indicate that vacancies can trap impurity atoms and may act as seeds for bubble formation. © The Royal Society of Chemistry.

Hydrogenotrophic denitrification is promising for tertiary nitrogen removal from municipal wastewater. To reveal the influence of residual organics in municipal wastewater on hydrogenotrophic denitrifiers, we adopted high-throughput 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to examine microbial communities in hydrogenotrophic denitrification enrichments. Using effluent from a municipal wastewater treatment plant as water source, COD, nitrate and pH were controlled the same except for a gradient of biodegradable carbon (i.e., primary effluent (PE), secondary effluent (SE), or combined primary and secondary effluent (CE)). Inorganic synthetic water (IW) was used as a control. Hydrogenophaga, a major facultative autotroph, accounted for 17.1%, 5.3%, 32.7% and 12.9% of the sequences in PE, CE, SE and IW, respectively, implicating that Hydrogenophaga grew well with or without organics. Thauera, which contains likely obligate autotrophic denitrifiers, appeared to be the most dominant genera (23.6%) in IW and accounted for 2.5%, 4.6% and 8.9% in PE, CE and SE, respectively. Thermomonas, which is related to heterotrophic denitrification, accounted for 4.2% and 7.9% in PE and CE fed with a higher content of labile organics, respectively. In contrast, Thermomonas was not detected in IW and accounted for only 0.6% in SE. Our results suggest that Thermomonas are more competitive than Thauera in hydrogenotrophic denitrification with biodegradable organics. Moreover, facultative autotrophic denitrifiers, Hydrogenophaga, are accommodating to residual organic in effluent wastewater, thus we propose that hydrogenotrophic denitrification is amenable for tertiary nitrogen removal.

为探明啶酰菌胺与氟啶胺复配物对水稻纹枯病菌和草莓灰霉病菌的增效潜力,采用菌丝生长速率法测定啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺复配物对水稻纹枯病菌和草莓灰霉病菌的抑制效果,并根据Wadley方法评价复配物增效作用。结果表明:啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺对水稻纹枯病菌均具有抑制作用,其EC_(50)分别为0.483 6 μg/mL和0.054 1 μg/mL。将啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺按照1∶5、1∶4、1∶3、1∶2、1∶1、2∶3、3∶2、5∶1、4∶1、3∶1和2∶1的比例进行复配,结果表明:按照1∶2、3∶2、5∶1、4∶1、3∶1和2∶1复配对水稻纹枯病菌均具有增效作用,其中以3∶1和3∶2比例复配增效最佳,增效系数分别为7.7和5.46;以1∶1、1∶3、1∶4、1∶5和2∶3复配对水稻纹枯病菌具有相加作用。啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺对草莓灰霉病菌也具有抑制作用,其EC_(50)分别为1.637 1 μg/mL和0.028 3 μg/mL。将啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺按照上述相同11种比例进行复配,结果显示比例为1∶5、1∶4、1∶1、5∶1、4∶1等8种复配物对草莓灰霉病菌具有相加作用,其中以2∶1和1∶2比例复配相加效果最佳,增效系数分别为1.30和1.00,但比例为3∶2等其他比例复配则对草莓灰霉病菌表现出拮抗作用。

First principles calculations have been performed to investigate the synergetic effect of H and He impurities with vacancies in Ti 3 AlC 2 . The configurations and energetics of H n -He-V Al complexes (n ≤ 4) and He-He/He-H/H-H interactions have been studied. It is found that the impurity H atom prefers to occupy the tetrahedral interstitial site (I tetr -3), but the He atom prefers to occupy the octahedral interstitial site (I oct -4) in perfect Ti 3 AlC 2 . Within a pre-existing Al vacancy, the most favorable site for a He atom is close to tetr-site, meanwhile the H atom preferentially deviates from the vacancy center with the separation 1.3 Å along the 〈001〉 direction. He-H and He-He show a weakly attractive interaction, but weak repulsion occurs in the H-H interaction, which is different from the case of Ti 3 SiC 2 . The He-V Al complex plays an important role in the trapping of H atoms. The He-V Al cluster can trap up to three H atoms in the absence of H 2 molecules, which leads to the formation of a H-He hybridized bubble. Thus, the He atom can subsequently suppress further aggregation of H atoms and block hydrogen embrittlement and volume swelling. © the Owner Societies.

Cobalt (Co)-doped V2O5 nanowire arrays are prepared using a simple hydrothermal method by controlling appropriate molar ratios of cobaltous acetate (Co(CH3COO)2·4H2O) and ammonium vanadate (NH4VO3). The products are characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The nanowires are identified as cobalt-doped V2O5 when the molar ratio of cobalt/vanadium precursors is less than 0.064 (calculated from raw materials); while as the molar ratio increases to 0.128, the nanowires are composed of a mixture of V2O5 and Co3O4. The valence states of Co, O and V are tested by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and the distribution of these elements is confirmed by elemental mapping. The prepared samples are studied and compared with their lithium-storage properties using cyclic voltammetry, charge-discharge test and rate performances. The Co-doped V2O5 nanowires have a higher electrochemical lithium-storage capacity than that of the mixed V2O5/Co3O4 nanowires. At a current density of 30 mA g−1, an initial discharge capacity of 624.64 mAh g−1 is achieved in a voltage range of 2–4 V. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

Background: Bismuth (Bi) has been studied due to its high theoretical gravimetric capacity of 385 mAh g<sup>-1</sup>, which is as important as gravimetric capacity for the practical application of battery systems in electronic mobile devices. However, there have been limited fundamental explorations on the electrochemical performances of Bi. Furthermore, the mechanism differences for the Bi anodes in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium-ion batteries (NIBs) should be further investigated. Methods: The Bi nanowires were fabricated by vacuum melting and pressure injection method. Briefly, a Bi bulk was placed into an injection apparatus and heated up above 275 °C (melt point of Bi: 271.3 °C), and then the melt was injected into the AAO pores by a hydraulic force. After the injection process, the chamber was kept in vacuum to cool down slowly. Subsequently, the AAO template was dissolved away slowly in the etching solution (0.4 M H<inf>3</inf>PO<inf>4</inf>+ 0.2 M CrO<inf>3</inf>) at 60 °C for 72 h to expose Bi nanowires. Finally, after sonication dispersion, centrifugal sedimentation and rinsing with deionized water several times to remove the excess H<inf>3</inf>PO<inf>4</inf>-CrO<inf>3</inf>mixture, the free-standing Bi nanowires were collected. Results: The morphologies of AAO, AAO/Bi and Bi nanowires were tested and presented in detail. It found that the Bi nanowires can be obtained by pressure injection method followed with dissolve the AAO template. After boll milling with C to form Bi/C nanocomposites, the nanocomposites were assembled as an electrode of LIBs or NIBs. It exhibited high capacities in LIBs, while for NIBs, the capacity retention was relatively low. Conclusion: Bi nanowires have been prepared by mechanical pressure injection method and thoroughly dissolution of the AAO template. After successive milling of Bi nanowires with carbon black, Bi/C nanocomposites are obtained. The Bi/C nanocomposites used as electrode in LIBs exhibit high capacities and the initial discharge/charge capacities of Bi/C anode are around 1223.4/571.9, 905.9/412.3, 829.2/ 362.6 mAh g<sup>-1</sup>at current densities of 20, 200 and 500 mA g<sup>-1</sup>, respectively. The enhanced electrical performances are attributed to the smaller size of Bi nanowires and the introduced carbon black to buffer the volume changes during discharge/charge process. In NIBs, the capacity retention after 50 cycles reaches 284.7, 196.2 and 168.3 mAh g<sup>-1</sup>at current densities of 20, 200 and 500 mA g-1, respectively. Furthermore, in LIBs, Bi and Li<sup>+</sup>ions combine together through an alloying process, while in NIBs, only an intercalation process occurs for Bi and Na+ without indication of alloying.<br/> ©2017 Bentham Science Publishers.

A ruthenium pincer catalyst has been shown to be highly efficient for the hydrogenation of a wide range of alpha-ketimino esters derived from alpha-keto esters and chiral 2-methylpropyl-2-sulfinamide, affording chiral aryl glycine derivatives with high yields and diasteroselectivities (20 examples, dr values up to 99 : 1).

摘要:
The aim of this study was to investigate the antibacterial activity of Amaranthus tricolor leaf extracts and to identify its antibacterial components. The antibacterial activities of A. tricolor leaf extracts against Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, Erwinia carotovora, Pseudomonas solanacearum and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, using the Oxford cup method was evaluated. The effect of A. tricolor leaf extracts on the structure of A. avenae subsp. citrulli was determined by scanning electron microscopy. The further purified A. tricolor leaf extract was obtained by using column and thin layer chromatography. The components of purified extract were separated by high-performance liquid chromatography. The active component of purified extract was identified by mass spectrum and nuclear magnetic resonance. The ratio of ethyl acetate and the leaf powder of 10:1 showed the best antibacterial activity. The inhibition zone against X.axonopodis pv. citri of (28.25mm) was the largest at p < 0.05 among the five tested bacteria. A. tricolor leaf extracts destroyed the membranes of A. avenae subsp. citrulli. Purified extract showed good stability against thermo, storage, light and pH. Moreover, the active antibacterial component of A. tricolor leaf extracts was palmitic acid (C16H32O2, 256.42). This study proved that A. tricolor leaf extracts have antibacterial activity against plant pathogenic bacteria. © 2016 Egyptian Society for Biological Control of Pests. All rights reserved.

Efficacy of Amaranthus tricolor extracts were investigated as new bacterial antifungal components. Antibacterial substances were successively extracted from A. tricolor by ethyl acetate. Inhibition zone method was used to study the antibacterial activity of the extract against five phytopathogenic bacteria, i.e., Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola, Ralstonia solanacearum, Acidovorax avenae subsp. sitrulii, and Erwinia carotovora. At the same time, the factors influencing antibacterial activity such as extraction method and extracting solvent were evaluated. Inhibition rate recorded 24.8–62.1%, with the greatest effects against X. axonopodis pv. citri and X. oryzae pv. oryzicola (62.1 and 58.7%, respectively). The extracts also inhibited X. axonopodis pv. citri in vitro. Generally, the antibacterial substances from A. tricolor were effective against all of the phytopathogens tested. Further study found that different solvents had different influences on extracts. The effective inhibition rate varied by solvent as follows: ethyl acetate > ethanol> acetone = petroleum ether; the ethyl acetate extract significantly inhibited X. axonopodis pv. citri, at a rate almost equal to the control medicament of 4 mg/ml streptomycin. Dissolved the extracts in different solvents showed that distilled water was the most stable, and the effective inhibition rate for X. axonopodis pv. citri varied as follows after 72 h: distilled water (41.2%) > ethanol–water mixture (1:5) (32.4%) > ethanol (27.2%). The results showed that the A. tricolor extracts consisted of a fat-soluble component and a water-soluble substance. Different extraction conditions also had different effects, with oscillating waves had greatest effect and ultrasonication had little impact. Obtained results revealed that extracts from leaves had higher levels of antibacterial substances than from roots and stems (leaf > root > stem). © 2016, Egyptian Society for Biological Control of Pests. Plant pathogenic fungi, Rhizoctonia solani and bacteria, such as Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola and X. campestris pv. citri, caused critical loss in agriculture. Developing new alternative biological agents with high efficiency and low toxicity is needed. In this work, An antagonistic Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain SU8 from a farm breeding ducks and growing rice simultaneously was isolated. It was identified according to its 16S rRNA gene and morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics. Also, an antibiotic compound F125 (phenazine-1-carboxamide) was separated from its ethyl acetate extract. F125 showed 83.63% grow inhibition rate against R. solani at 0.01 mg/ml concentration, meanwhile, EC50 of it was 0.7863 mg/ml and 1.5661 mg/ml against X. oryzae pv. oryzicola and X. campestris pv. citri, respectively. Furthermore, F125 showed high safety for rice and mice. Rice could sprout and grow normally when F125 concentration was below 0.06 mg/ml and 0.1 mg/ml, respectively. Also, acute toxicity of F125 against mice resulted in LD50> 5 mg/g BW (body weight). In a whole, F125 displayed a promising prospect in the crop disease prevention. © 2016 Egyptian Society for Biological Control of Pests. All rights reserved.

摘要:
为评价啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺复配物对草莓灰霉病菌的增效作用,开发防治草莓灰霉病的新药剂,采用生长速率法测定了啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺复配物对草莓灰霉病菌的室内毒力,并采用Wadley法评价了复配物的增效潜力。结果表明,啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺质量比为1∶1、1∶5、5∶1、3∶1、2∶3时表现为相加作用,其增效系数分别为1.09、0.67、0.73、0.56、0.56;啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺质量比为1∶2、1∶3、2∶1、3∶2时表现为拮抗作用,其增效系数分别为0.44、0.42、0.41、0.48。说明啶酰菌胺和氟啶胺在一定条件下复配能提高对草莓灰霉病菌的控制效果,但复配比例不当则会降低对该病菌的控制效果。

摘要:
The bacterial strain Alcaligenes faecalis B137W, which has antagonism against Rhizoctonia solani, was firstly screened out from an integrated rice-duck ecosystem field by the dual culture method. Morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics as well as the sequence of the 16S rDNA gene and phylogenetic analysis showed that the strain B137W, whose 16S rDNA sequence has been registered in Gene Bank (accession number KC199967). It belongs to Alcaligenes faecalis, and has high homology with the model strain Alcaligenes faecalis ATCC8750. This strain obtained one national patent from China: ZL201310305517.7. The fermented filtrate of B137W was used to test its inhibitory effect on fungal plant pathogens. The results showed that it has an inhibitory rate of 60.26% against Rhizoctonia solani within 48 h, without significant differences in the rate of validamycin. It also showed a broad range of inhibitory effects on Pyricularia grisea, Fusarium graminearum, Ustilaginoidea virens and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. © 2016, Egyptian Society for Biological Control of Pests. 摘要:
为探明湖南省草莓灰霉病菌群体遗传结构、分化及变异规律,采用荧光标记技术对湖南省9个地理菌群的180株草莓灰霉病菌基因组DNA进行SSR分析。结果表明:9对SSR引物共检测到56个观察等位基因(Na),平均值为6.22;有效等位基因(Ne)为1.27~4.89,平均值为3.44;不同位点的基因多样性指数(H)为0.21~0.80,平均值为0.65;不同位点Shannon’s信息指数(I)为0.37~1.83,平均值为1.34。供试180株样品9个SSR多态性位点上多态性信息量PIC变化范围为0.13~0.91,不同位点PIC差异大,这一规律与I和H基本一致。不同SSR位点总的遗传多样性(Ht)为0.21~0.77,平均值为0.65;群内遗传多样性(Hs)为0.19~0.50,平均值为0.40;遗传分化系数(Gst)为0.10~0.46,平均值为0.37;基因流(Nm)为0.58~4.47,平均值为1.16。不同地理菌群平均观察等位基因(Na)、有效等位基因数目(Ne)分别为2.93和2.07,Shannon’s信息指数(I)平均为0.67,基因多样性指数(H)平均为0.40,平均多态性位点数(NP)、多态位点百分率(P)分别为6.78和75%。依据不同地理菌群之间的遗传距离(0.2797~1.9225),将供试湖南省9个地理菌群分为4大类:第Ⅰ大类主要由长沙、邵阳、岳阳、衡阳、张家界、湘潭种群组成;第Ⅱ大类主要由郴州种群组成;第Ⅲ大类主要由株洲种群组成;第Ⅳ大类由常德种群组成。总之,湖南省各地草莓灰霉病菌群体遗传多样性丰富,但地理群体间差异小,病菌遗传变异主要来自群体内部,不同地区间存在病菌的移动。
